Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Speaking at an international conference on the topic “Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan. Prospects for the development of strategic partnership and alliance”, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bolat Nurgaliyev stressed that the negotiations of the Heads of States on a wide range of issues and the agreements reached were a historic event that opened a new page in bilateral relations.
According to the Kazakhstani diplomat, the dynamics of the development of relations between the two fraternal countries undoubtedly makes it possible to bring cooperation to a new level.
In a broader sense, the unification of the political, economic, transport and logistics, food, energy, scientific and technical, investment potential of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan not only meets their national interests, but will undoubtedly turn out to be a boon for the entire region, strengthening its international significance.
Through joint efforts, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan with regional partners are turning Central Asia into a space for mutually beneficial cooperation. Thus, comprehensive bilateral cooperation and interaction in the region refutes the notion that there is a regional rivalry between Astana and Tashkent.
The event, organized by ISMI jointly with MICA in partnership with KazISS, was attended by the heads of the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Institute of World Economy and Politics under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the diplomatic corps, experts from the "think tanks" of the two countries.
