Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 September 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the new head of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in our country, Munir Mammadzade.

M. Mammadzade presented to the Minister a letter from UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore about his appointment to Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the current state and priority areas for the further development of interaction between Uzbekistan and UNICEF were considered, in particular projects aimed at protecting the rights and interests of children.

The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
