Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek tennis player Kamilla Rakhimova concluded her campaign at the Australian Open, losing in the first round to one of the tournament favorites, American Coco Gauff.

The match ended with Gauff winning in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.

The American controlled the match, confidently asserting her advantage on serve and in baseline rallies, preventing Rakhimova from establishing an equal contest.

As a result, Rakhimova was eliminated at the start of the tournament, while Uzbekistan’s participation at the Australian Open continues. Earlier, Polina Kudermetova successfully advanced in the main draw, defeating her Spanish opponent in the first round to reach the second round.
