Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 March, servicemen of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan arrived at the Chaubatiya training center, located in Ranikhet province of Utaranchal state of India, to participate in the joint Indian-Uzbek exercise Friendship -II.
On 10 March, in the Palace of Culture of the educational center, a solemn ceremony of opening the joint teaching took place. By tradition, the State flags were handed out and the National Anthems of the two countries were performed. The solemn event was opened by the Commander of the Infantry Corps of the Republic of India, General SK Sharma. He stressed that the joint Uzbek-Indian tactical exercises "Friendship-2019" held in Uzbekistan in 2019 served as the basis for further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the military sphere and said that the main goal of the current exercise is to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two countries by countering international terrorism. and joint participation in combat training operations.
Speaking on behalf of the Uzbek delegation, Colonel Azizbek Komilov spoke about the history of relations between Uzbekistan and India, and also assured that conducting such joint exercises in the future will bring military cooperation between the two countries to a completely new level.
Demonstration sessions were held after the official opening ceremony. The captain of the Indian Army Shishir Shukra informed the participants about his country, then the officer of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel Dilmurod Yuldashev, spoke with information about the reforms being carried out in our country and the results achieved. The result was a joint photographing of the military personnel of the two countries for memory.
On 4-13 November 2019, at the Chirchik training ground of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of the combined arms units of Uzbekistan and India, a joint tactical exercise "Friendship - 2019" was held.
