Jizzakh region posts 8.3% GDP growth in 1H 2010

Gross regional product (GRP) of Jizzakh region grew by 8.3% year-on-year in the first six months of 2010, UzA reported.
Industrial output grew by 13.5%, agriculture production rose by 6.1%, construction works – 13.7%, capital investments – 35%, and rendered services – 15.3%.
The region attracted foreign investments for US$6.333 million and local investments for 2.183 billion soums.
Within the localization programme, four enterprises produced goods for 14.139 billion soums and saved currency resources for US$245,700.
