Jizzakh Hosts Opening of INNO Science Park in Partnership with Hungary

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A ceremonial opening of the INNO Science Park took place in Jizzakh Region, established through cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

The event was attended by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov; Deputy Khokim of Jizzakh Region, Zafar Azimov; Hungary’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, József Rózsa; President of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference, Béla Merkely; Rector of Óbuda University, Levente Kovács; as well as leaders and specialists from higher education institutions of both countries.

INNO Science Park is set to serve as a hub for scientific research and the development of innovative solutions across priority sectors, including engineering, energy, artificial intelligence, mechanical engineering, electronics and automation, unmanned aerial vehicles, materials science, chemical technologies, food safety, and medical technologies.

The park will feature modern laboratories, a business incubator, and acceleration programs aimed at supporting startup projects and fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
