JICA supports regional seminar on monitoring of water quality in Central Asia

The seminar aims to explore implementation of action plans, as well as to exchange information and to strengthen cooperation between organizations active in environmental monitoring and water quality in Central Asian countries.

Over 25 representatives from environmental protection agencies, meteorological offices, sanitary agencies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are taking part in the seminar.

The seminar participants had internship in Japan. After the internship they developed their action plans on how to improve the water quality monitoring and now they are reviewing progress of implementation of these actions plans.
