Japanese delegation pays visit to Uzbekistan
The Japanese delegation arrived in Uzbekistan to hold negotiations in the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade.
During the talks at the MFA, the sides exchanged views on the state and prospects of Uzbek-Japanese relations, the press service of the MFA said.
It was emphasized that the official visit of the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe to Uzbekistan that took place in October, 2015, on the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and high level negotiations gave a new dynamic to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, covering relations between Uzbekistan and Japan in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, as well as within the framework of “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue.
The Ambassador of Japan Fumihiko Kato also attended the negotiations.
