Japanese Companies Discuss Pharmaceutical Cooperation Prospects with Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 January 2026, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry held a working meeting with leaders of Japanese trade and consulting companies, attended by the agency’s director, Abdulla Azizov.
Participants included representatives from Aria Investment Trust LLC, Tobidai Inc, Agnostri Inc, Global Silk Road Inc, and Japan Uz Trade House LLC. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector and the development of Uzbekistan’s production infrastructure, including the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster.
Tobidai Inc’s head, Daichi Homma, expressed strong interest in the cluster’s infrastructure and operational dynamics, as well as a desire to learn about procedures for acquiring land plots and the DM services provided by Pharm Service.
Director Abdulla Azizov highlighted opportunities for collaboration with Japanese companies experienced in the production of dietary supplements and medicinal plants.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached for several Japanese companies to visit Uzbekistan in February 2026. The discussions underscored that establishing production facilities for foreign enterprises in the country and fostering mutually beneficial cooperation remain key priorities for the agency.
