IUT Rector elected as chairperson of Uzbekistan-Korea Friendship Society

New chairperson of the board of the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan – Korea” was elected during the session of the organization in Tashkent on 3 March 2017.

During the session, the members of the Board and revision commissions were also elected. IUT Vice-Rector Turdimurat Tursunmuratov was elected as the deputy chairperson of the boar of the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan – Korea”.

Deputy Director-General of Haejin NewWorld Sergey Pak was elected as the executive director of the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan – Korea”.

The participants of the session discussed issues of developing relations between Uzbekistan and the Republic Korea.

It was noted that the Friendship Society “Uzbekistan – Korea” will continue to boost its activities in such directions as public diplomacy, cultural and educational relations to further boost relations between two nations.

The Friendship Society “Uzbekistan – Korea” was founded in Tashkent in 1999. The society contributes to development of cultural relations between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
