IUT opens Korean language courses to its students
The decision by IUT administration to introduce Korean language courses was made following numerous requests on behalf of IUT students.
The initiative was realized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Korean Education Center in Tashkent, both of which provided educational material to IUT. Additionally, they also plan to provide modern equipment to IUT to ensure efficient academic process. It is worth mentioning that IUT also agreed to launch Korean language courses with Inha University (Republic of Korea).
Presently, Korean language courses are open for the third-year students of IUT. It is expected that these courses will be offered to the first and second year students of IUT from 2017-2018 academic year.
IUT Rector Sarvar Babakhodjaev commented: “I would like to express my gratitude to the Korean Education Center in Tashkent on behalf of IUT students and administration. The Center supported the initiative of launching Korean language courses, providing technical assistance and their specialists. I am sure that studying Korean language by our students will contribute to the strengthening of relations between people of Uzbekistan and South Korea.”
