IUT and UNESCO discuss collaboration in education sphere

During the meeting, IUT Rector Sarvar Babakhodjaev briefed the guest on activities of the university in training future leaders in the field of information technologies and logistics.

In her turn, Ms Krista Pikkat shared information on activities of the UNESCO Country office in Uzbekistan.

During the negotiations, the sides discussed issues of attracting youth to education with assistance of information technologies. Ms Pikkat, in particular, informed the IUT administration on global projects, which are directed at attracting youth to education.

The parties also considered cooperation in the field of training youth in mobile app development and coding.

Representatives of IUT and UNESCO reached agreement to continue discussions on launching of joint projects directed at attracting youth to learning and seeking knowledge. It was underlined that such projects will help young people to improve their potential and find their place in the society.
