IT Park Uzbekistan Strengthens Cooperation with German Business

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan visited Berlin to promote the country’s IT and outsourcing potential. With support from the Uzbekistan Embassy in Germany, IT Park Uzbekistan, in partnership with the Eastern Committee of German Business and Berlin Economics, organized the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference.

During the visit, meetings were held with German companies including Gevekom GmbH, Endax GmbH, Pedersen & Partners, among others. The objectives were to showcase Uzbekistan as a reliable partner in global digital services, establish direct business contacts, and highlight the advantages of investing in the country’s IT sector.

Over 100 participants from about 70 companies attended the conference. The event was opened by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Germany, Dilshod Akhatov, who emphasized the strengthening of bilateral economic ties and growing German interest in collaboration with Uzbekistan.

Adrian Wolkersdorf from Germany’s Federal Ministry of Digital Technology and Public Administration, along with Michael Harms, Managing Director of the Eastern Committee of German Business, highlighted Uzbekistan’s high potential as a new IT outsourcing hub in Central Asia.

Faizulla Ulmasov, Head of Export Development at IT Park Uzbekistan, presented on “Uzbekistan — a Strategic Partner in Global Service Expansion”, detailing the Zero Risk program, tax incentives, IT visas, and the country’s growing talent pool.

Harry Polushkin, advisor at the German Economic Team, reviewed Uzbekistan’s IT industry growth, while Victoria Dubova, Deputy Chair of Uzinfocom Europe, in her presentation “From Idea to Reality: The Power of Uzbek IT Talent”, showcased the innovative capabilities of domestic IT teams.

The official program concluded with a panel discussion, “Entering Uzbekistan: A Scalable and Strategic Decision”, moderated by Michael Harms. Panelists included Robert Kirchner (Berlin Economics), Adrian Wolkersdorf (Federal Ministry of Germany), Philipp Kleine Eger (EPAM Systems), Bastian Kräggel (Plug and Play), and Vsevolod Li (IT Park Uzbekistan). They discussed practical steps for German companies entering the Uzbek market, outsourcing advantages, and workforce development.

The Berlin conference and subsequent meetings confirmed strong interest from German and European businesses in collaborating with Uzbekistan in IT outsourcing, digital solutions, and consulting. For IT Park Uzbekistan, the event marked an important milestone in expanding its European partnerships and positioning Uzbekistan as a new regional technology hub.
