IT Park Uzbekistan Explores Collaboration with Latvian Delegation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Director for Resident Affairs Lazizbek Khudaev, held a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Latvia, headed by Raviss Bremshmits, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Latvia.
The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in information technology, artificial intelligence, the development of the startup ecosystem, and opportunities for IT companies and startups to enter new markets.
The Latvian delegation included Georgijs Vojevoda, head of Latvia’s economic representation at its embassy in Uzbekistan, representatives from the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, the Latvian ICT Cluster, and companies including MKG Building OU Latvia, Asya 21, Emy Solutions, and Fan Apps.
IT Park Uzbekistan representatives presented the organization’s role in fostering the country’s technology ecosystem, uniting startups, IT companies, and international partners, while creating favorable conditions for business growth and digital service exports.
A key topic of discussion was collaboration in artificial intelligence, including the potential launch of joint educational programs, research initiatives, and development of language models.
Special attention was given to developing the startup ecosystem and venture financing, as well as bilateral market entry programs. These programs aim to help Uzbek startups access Baltic and European Union markets, while Latvian companies explore opportunities in Uzbekistan and other Eurasian countries.
The parties also discussed establishing joint laboratories within scientific research cooperation and implementing exchange programs between universities and research centers.
Additionally, opportunities were explored to attract Latvian tech companies to the Uzbek market to expand their products and services internationally.
Strengthening cooperation with Latvian government bodies and technology firms will enable IT Park Uzbekistan to broaden international partnerships, enhance market access for Uzbek IT companies and startups in Europe, and attract new technological projects and investments to the country’s digital economy.
