IT Park Uzbekistan and KDB Bank Discuss Resident Participation in Banking IT Infrastructure Modernization Project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Service Export Development Director Makhliyo Muksinova, held a meeting with a delegation from KDB Bank Uzbekistan, headed by HaChon Chan, Director of the Information Technology Department.

The delegation also included Doston Faiziev, Head of the Digital Banking Department, and Anora Fayzullaeva, Chief Specialist of the Digital Services Department.

Following the discussions, the parties agreed to explore the participation of IT Park residents in projects aimed at modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure under the New Generation Project (NGP) and to continue exchanging information on the next steps of cooperation.

KDB Bank Uzbekistan is the local subsidiary of the Korean financial group headquartered in Seoul. The bank operates in Tashkent through two branches and employs approximately 150 staff. Currently, a comprehensive program is underway to upgrade core banking and operational systems as part of the New Generation Project.

During the meeting, the bank presented its plans for technological modernization and transition to international standards. The participants discussed IT Park residents’ involvement in the NGP project, including the modernization of primary banking systems and auxiliary IT solutions, collaboration with Korean IT contractors, knowledge exchange, and subsequent integration of solutions.

Additionally, the discussion addressed how the bank’s initiatives align with the Initial Strategic Planning (ISP) program. Companies with experience in updating core banking systems are expected to be involved, creating new opportunities for joint projects with IT Park residents in Uzbekistan.

For IT Park Uzbekistan, this collaboration provides access to a major project in the financial sector, promotes the growth of residents’ service exports, and strengthens the park’s role as a key platform for implementing international IT solutions in the country.
