İstanbul Başakşehir Defeats Göztepe; Fayzullaev Registers Assist

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the 25th round of the Turkish Süper Lig, İstanbul Başakşehir secured a home victory over Göztepe, moving up to fifth place in the league standings.

Uzbek national team players Abbosbek Fayzullaev and Eldor Shomurodov started the match. In the 13th minute, Ömer Ali Şahiner opened the scoring following a precise pass from Faizullaev. Göztepe’s Alexis Antunes equalized in the 39th minute.

Early in the second half, in the 46th minute, Ivan Brnić substituted for Fayzullaev and went on to score the winning goal for İstanbul Başakşehir in the 69th minute.

With this win, İstanbul Başakşehir accumulated 42 points from 25 matches, climbing to fifth place in the standings. Göztepe also has 42 points.
