Issues on strengthening mutual cooperation and increasing the export of textile products to the factories of Ivanovo region were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Kor-Uz technopark between a delegation of the Russian Federation headed by the Governor of Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky and the leadership of the Uztekstilprom association. The delegation of Ivanovo region included representatives of state institutions and textile enterprises of the region.

Cooperation between the Uztekstilprom association and Ivanovo region has been going on for several decades. From the point of view of the supply of textile products to the markets of the CIS countries, Ivanovo region is rightfully one of the most important points of cooperation.

In this regard, during the meeting, issues were discussed on further strengthening mutual cooperation and increasing the export of textile products to the factories of Ivanovo region. Also, the possibility of implementing joint projects not only in the field of textiles, but also education and training of relevant personnel was discussed.

During his presentation, the chairman of Uztekstilprom presented the situation in the country’s textile industry today, where you can see that a perfect production chain has been introduced here that meets international standards, showed new areas of production, possible investment projects for implementation and possible ways for further cooperation, in including the cotton-textile clusters of Uzbekistan.

Stanislav Voskresensky noted that he was ready to support the proposals of the Uzbek side, in particular, the development of projects for the deep processing of cotton fiber to finished products.

It is important to note that Uzbekistan is currently working with such well-known brands as OODJI, OSTIN, MODIS, GLORIA JEANS and others.

Russia is an important partner of the Republic of Uzbekistan in all areas, in particular, in the textile sector, it is one of the major exporters and customers. Last year, exports to Russia almost reached $1 billion, which accounted for 30% of the total exports of textile products produced in Uzbekistan.
