Issues on accelerating the implementation of the investment project were discussed with Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 August 2020, in the building of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan with the participation of the First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, acting Chairman of JSC "Uzkimyosanoat" J. Mirzamakhmudov, negotiations were held with representatives of the management staff of the companies "Mitsubishi Corporation" and "Mitsubishi Heavy Industries" via video conference.

During the negotiations, issues were discussed to accelerate the implementation of the project “Construction of a complex for the production of ammonia and urea at Navoiazot”, mobilize personnel to the construction site and ensure the commissioning of the facility as soon as possible. Organizational issues of commissioning at the Turakurgan TPP were also discussed.

In particular, issues related to the return of Japanese specialists to the construction site and the acceleration of start-up and commissioning, preparation of the site and external infrastructure, training of local personnel who will be involved in commissioning and further operation of the complex, their training and advanced training were discussed.

The Japanese side assured that it would make every effort to complete all work as quickly and efficiently as possible in compliance with safety measures.

An agreement was reached on organizing a phased return of Japanese specialists, as well as involved specialists from other states in September of this year. and accelerated implementation of the entire range of works for the commissioning of a modern complex by the end of this year.

The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan continues to stay in Japan to discuss with Japanese partners the state and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy and chemical industries.
