Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 November 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic Aurélie Bouchez.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral relations and separately dwelled on the priority areas of the Uzbek-French multifaceted cooperation for 2023.
As noted, the results of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France on 21-22 November 2022 and the top-level talks confirmed the political will of the leaders of the two countries to give new momentum to the entire spectrum of the Uzbek-French dialogue.
The issues of strengthening economic diplomacy occupied an important place at the talks. Mutual interest was expressed in the timely and full implementation of the agreements reached during the visit on the implementation of priority projects of trade, economic, investment and financial cooperation worth more than 6 billion euros.
The importance of intensifying cooperation between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Assembly of France, including within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, was emphasized.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of joint events planned for next year.
Particular attention was paid to the interaction of the parties in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The ambassador noted that the French public and visitors to the capital of France are showing particular interest in the exhibitions of exhibitors of Uzbek museums that opened at the Louvre and the Institute of the Arab World in Paris.
