Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the sidelines of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in the city of Turkmenbashi of Turkmenistan, on 6 August 2021, a regular meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia will be held. This year it is chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva.

On the eve of the event, bilateral meetings of the head of the upper chamber of the parliament of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva with the special envoy of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, the head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Natalia Gherman and the chairman of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan Khilolbi Kurbonzoda took place.

The parties discussed issues of regional and bilateral cooperation on gender issues under the chairmanship of the Uzbek side in the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia.

Also, meetings with the participants of the Dialogue from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are planned.
