Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 September, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva received the Chairperson of the Assembly (Parliament) of Montenegro Daniela Djurovic, who takes part in the 14th Summit of Women Heads of Parliaments of the Member States of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
At the meeting, T. Narbayeva congratulated the guest on his visit to our country, noting that Montenegro is one of the important partners of Uzbekistan in the Balkans.
During the dialogue, an exchange of views took place on the adoption of immediate measures to establish cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
It was also noted that in both countries there are sufficient opportunities for the development of relations between our states in the field of trade, investment, tourism, agro-industrial, pharmaceutical, cultural and humanitarian spheres. At the same time, parliaments should assist in establishing a practical dialogue in various fields.
For her part, D. Djurovic thanked for the warm welcome and invitation to the summit, which was a success. She noted that this visit is the first visit of members of the Parliament of Montenegro to Uzbekistan, and stressed that she will do her best to develop relations between the parliaments of the two countries.
