Issues of Infrastructure, Incentives, and Resolution of Challenges in Special Industrial Zones Discussed with Chinese Investors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a working meeting with the heads of directorates of Special Industrial Zones (SIZ) established with the participation of Chinese companies and operating in the country.

The discussion involved representatives from Mingyuan Silu (Tianjin) Industry Co. Ltd., Da Shun Group, Anhui Huayan Group, Wenzhou Jinsheng Trading Co. Ltd., and Sinoma Tech.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the current status of investment projects within the SIZ, addressed infrastructure development, the application of existing tax and customs incentives, and problematic aspects arising in the course of operations.

Special attention was given to connecting external engineering networks, relocating power lines and gas pipelines, constructing internal and access roads, and building a high-voltage substation.

Following the discussions, clarifications were provided on all issues and proposals raised by the Chinese investors, and concrete practical solutions were proposed to ensure the phased and timely resolution of identified challenges.
