Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing and the Consulate General in Guangzhou organized a business seminar on "Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in the field of cross-border e-commerce" as part of the further expansion of bilateral trade and economic ties, the development of a dialogue between businessmen and government officials, Dunyo news agency reports.
The event was attended by representatives of the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, the International Alliance for Scientific and Technical Cooperation with the CIS countries in Guangdong Province, representatives of about 80 exporting companies, research institutes, as well as government agencies and specialized associations of the two countries.
The online event provided detailed information on the work carried out in our country to develop international trade, attract foreign investment in relevant industries, accelerate reforms in this area and their preliminary results, as well as new projects to be implemented with Chinese partners.
The head of the International Alliance for Scientific and Technical Cooperation with the CIS countries in Guangdong province, Gu Fengji, called on Chinese entrepreneurs to make full use of the opportunities available in Uzbekistan, stressing that the agreements reached at recent meetings of the leaders of the two countries and the initiatives put forward at them will serve as a programmatic basis for work in this direction.
In turn, Zhang Shijun, head of the Investment and Foreign Trade Department of the China-SCO Pilot Zone in Guangzhou, spoke about the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the development of cross-border e-commerce. Returning to a wide range of opportunities for the sale of Uzbek products in the Chinese market, he called on colleagues to implement joint projects.
