Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 3 January 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Oleg Malginov.

The readiness of the parties for the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached as a result of meetings and negotiations between the leaders of the two countries was emphasized.

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

Particular attention was paid to the intensification of economic diplomacy, including through the adoption of measures to further increase the indicators of trade, attract investment and implement joint projects.

The schedule and agenda of upcoming events in bilateral and multilateral formats were discussed.

The commitment of Uzbekistan and Russia to the continuation of the dialogue within the framework of international and regional institutions was noted.
