Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to attract foreign investment and expand economic ties, as well as promote economic diplomacy, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan made a business trip to Taharu, Aichi prefecture.
During the trip, meetings and negotiations were held with the mayor of the city of Tahara Y. Masayoshi, the president of the Agricultural Cooperative "Aichi Minami" Teruhiko Suzuki, the chairman of the agricultural committee of the city of Tahara Koji Yamamoto, the leadership of the Japanese companies "Nichirin Company", "JIC Cooperative" and "FOZMA".
At a meeting with the mayor of Tahara Y. Masayoshi, the prospects of trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation were discussed, the investment potential of the Namangan region was presented, opportunities for cooperation in the field of agriculture were discussed.
In turn, Mayor Y. Masayoshi noted with satisfaction the great interest in cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular in agriculture by attracting Uzbek specialists to work in the agricultural enterprises of the city. In addition, the mayor of the city Y. Masayoshi supported the proposal to hold bilateral events in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres between the city of Namangan and Tahara.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the practical implementation of the agreements reached and the organization of the visit of the mayor of the city of Takhara to Uzbekistan approximately in October this year. as the pandemic situation stabilizes.
Also, meetings were held with the President of the Agricultural Cooperative "Aichi Minami" T. Suzuki and the Chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the city of Tahara K. Yamomoto. During the meeting, the participants were familiarized with the legal regulation of labor migration in Uzbekistan, the training system and the process of sending citizens of Uzbekistan to carry out temporary work in Japan.
During the talks, the Japanese side informed about the serious shortage of labor resources and the need for foreign labor. In this regard, the interlocutors expressed their intention to establish cooperation in attracting Uzbek labor resources to Japan with skills and specialization in the field of agriculture.
In the course of negotiations with the heads of the companies "Nichirin Company", "FOZMA" and "JIC Cooperative", an agreement was reached to work out the issue of attracting Uzbek specialists-engineers with experience of working on software products "Auto CAD".
In addition, representatives of Uzbekistan also got acquainted with the production of sweet potatoes under the Yakimo Sakura brand. The technology and possibilities of its production in Uzbekistan were studied in detail.
As a result of negotiations with the heads of companies with, an agreement was also reached on organizing their visit to Uzbekistan in October 2021 for conducting substantive negotiations with interested ministries and departments and organizing a business seminar on the presentation of investment and export potential, as well as discussing potential areas for cooperation in the republic.
