Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 January 2023, a meeting was held betwen the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Uzbekistan Saeed Matar Al Qemzi.

Topical issues of further development of the Uzbek-Emirati multifaceted cooperation and filling it with new practical content were considered.

An exchange of views took place on the implementation of the previously reached agreements, and a schedule of major events on the agenda of bilateral relations was agreed upon.

The importance of maintaining a regular dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries, including through inter-MFA consultations, was emphasized.

An agreement was reached on the adoption of joint measures aimed at increasing the volume of Uzbek-Emirates trade and diversifying its structure.
