Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the head office of the National Television and Radio Company of India Prasar Bharati, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov and the Executive Director of the company Shashi Shekhar Vempati.
At the meeting, the parties discussed practical measures to ensure the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2018 between the National TV and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and the National TV and Radio Company of India.
In particular, the parties exchanged views on the possibility of providing video clips, exchanging best practices, conducting trainings and seminars for industry professionals on the basis of this memorandum.
Indian representatives acknowledged that as a result of large-scale democratic reforms in Uzbekistan in recent years, the role and prestige of the media in the country has been growing, in particular, the potential and quality of television and radio channels. Prasar Bharati management also expressed interest in establishing cooperation with private TV channels in Uzbekistan.
