Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 May 2020, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, held a video conference call with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America, Daniel Nathan Rosenblum.

The parties examined the state and prospects of strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields, and also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan.

During the conversation, priority directions of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan on the joint implementation of various projects, including in the energy, transport and communication and other areas, were also discussed.
