Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 March 2021, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with the National Security Advisor to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamdullah Muhib in Kabul.

The parties discussed issues of Uzbek-Afghan cooperation in the field of security, enhancing cooperation in the implementation of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan with the participation of Uzbekistan.

The Afghan side praised Uzbekistan's efforts to peacefully resolve the Afghan crisis.

H. Muhib expressed the readiness of the Afghan side to ensure the complete safety of Uzbek specialists involved in the implementation of such joint projects as the construction of the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri power transmission line and the Mazar-i-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway.

During the conversation, an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest also took place.
