Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August 2022, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Republic of Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and the United States in the Afghan direction, in particular, the development of the situation in Afghanistan.

The high-ranking diplomat praised the efforts of Uzbekistan to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and economic assistance to Afghanistan.

The American side especially noted the successful holding of the Tashkent International Conference on Afghanistan on 25-26 July 2022. It was emphasized that this forum has become an important platform for intensifying international efforts to ensure stability not only in Afghanistan, but also in the region as a whole.
