Islamjan Ergashkhodjaev appointed as acting governor of Tashkent region

According to the presidential decree, Islamjan Ergashkhodjaev has been appointed as acting governor of Tashkent region.

Prior to appointment, he worked as the first deputy governor of the region on administrative issues, coordination activities of law enforcement bodies, self-governing bodies and youth policy.

Islamjan Ergashkhodjaev replaced Sodiq Abdullaev at the post of governor of Tashkent region. He was appointed to the post in early February 2016.
