Islamic Civilization Center Enters Guinness World Records

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has been officially included in the Guinness World Records as the largest museum of Islamic civilization.

The recognition represents international acknowledgment of the scale and significance of the complex, which plays a key role in presenting the scientific and cultural heritage of the Islamic world.

The project was initiated by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and is aimed at studying, preserving, and promoting the rich legacy of Islamic civilization.

The complex is located within the Hazrati Imam architectural ensemble and is distinguished by its large-scale design. The site covers an area of 10 hectares, with a building length of 161 meters, a width of 118 meters, and a dome height reaching 65 meters. The total internal floor space is approximately 50,000 square meters. These parameters formed the basis for the global record recognition.

The official Guinness World Records certificate was presented by representative Seyda Subasi.

It is also noted that the museum within the Center has been recognized as the best museum in the Turkic world.

Today, the Center for Islamic Civilization is positioned not only as a museum complex but also as a major scientific and cultural platform shaping new approaches to studying and presenting historical heritage.
