Islam Karimov visits new bridge in Tashkent

Construction of overpass, linking Shayhantaur and Yunusobod districts of the Uzbek capital, was started in September 2014. New bridge will help to improve automobile traffic.

Green zones with fountains were created on both sides of the overpass. Ground pedestrian crossings were constructed on both sides of the bridge for the first time. Underground pedestrian crossings were also built.

The length of the overpass on Sebzar street makes up about 900 meters. New overpass has six-lanes, which were divided in the middle.

Uzbek leader also familiarized with a project on reconstruction of Hotel Chorsu and gave his recommendations on design of rooms.
