Islam Karimov meets Korea Eximbank President
During the negotiations, the sides discussed issues of further developing investment partnership between Uzbekistan and Korea Eximbank, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.
The sides highly rated signing of inter-banking agreements with Asaka Bank on providing credit line for US$160 million.
Lee Duk-Hoon expressed gratitude to the Uzbek leader for warm receipt and said that Korea Eximbank and South Korean businesses are interested in further developing mutual beneficial and long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan.
Korea Eximbank is one of key partners of Uzbekistan in Asian-Pacific region and finances strategic projects in Uzbekistan. Since 1999, the bank participated in implementation of projects for US$935 million. Since 2012, the bank participates in implementation of projects for US$1.2 billion. The sides are also developing new projects for about US$900 million.
