Ipoteka Bank to Issue Additional Shares for IFC Subscription

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on March 18, 2026, Ipoteka Bank decided to issue 391.3 billion additional ordinary shares.

The shares will be offered at 1.1 soums each on the over-the-counter market, while the current market price stands at 2.85 soums per share. The total value of the issuance will reach 430.4 billion soums.

The main investor will be the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which will acquire the shares through a private placement under a closed subscription. Existing shareholders retain preemptive rights to purchase new shares proportionally to their ownership.

The placement period will last up to six months from the date of registration. Current shareholders may exercise their preemptive rights within 10 days of the announcement of the share issue.

IFC will pay for its shares by offsetting the bank’s outstanding loan, converting debt into equity. Other shareholders may pay for their new shares in cash in the national currency.
