Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul confirmed the information spread in the media about the death of a citizen of Uzbekistan M.B., born on 21 May 2002, on 2 January 2021, as a result of falling from the tenth floor of a residential building in Karsiyaka region of Izmir province (Republic of Turkey).

In addition, according to the Consulate General, on 1 January, 2021, a citizen of Uzbekistan, Sh.R., born on 11 June 1974, died of heart failure in Istanbul.

The Consulate General took the above situations under control and maintains contact with the competent authorities of Turkey. Consular and legal assistance was provided to the relatives of the deceased in organizing the sending of the bodies of compatriots to their homeland for further burial.
