International law enforcement cooperation is developing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, at the invitation of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant-General Pulat Bobojonov, a delegation led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Süleyman Soylu visited Uzbekistan in order to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, get acquainted with the ongoing reforms in the system and exchange experience.

During the visit, an official meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of the heads of law enforcement agencies of the two states.

During the event, the parties discussed the fight against organized crime, terrorism and extremism, human trafficking and illegal migration, as well as the development of cooperation in these areas.

At the same time, attention is focused on the ongoing work in the field of developing cooperation, exchanging experience and improving skills between the sectoral educational institutions of the two states and long-term plans. It was noted that it is advisable to use the achievements of Turkish experience in organizing retraining and advanced training for employees of the internal affairs bodies of Uzbekistan, in particular, specialists in combating cybercrime and forensics.

During the event, the issue of accelerating domestic procedures necessary for the entry into force of the signed bilateral agreements was raised, as well as the work carried out between the ministries to implement international treaties and documents.

During the visit, the Turkish delegation plans to get acquainted with the activities of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent and the Situation Center of the Main Department of Transport Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In addition, a visit will be made to Khorezm region, where an exchange of views will take place on ensuring safe tourism at the historical sites of the city of Khiva, the activities of Uzbek partners in this direction and Turkish experience will be studied.
