International “Gastro Forum 2025” Held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the international exhibition “Horeca Expo Uzbekistan 2025,” the gastronomic forum “Gastro Forum 2025” took place in the capital, focusing on the development of gastro-tourism and the restaurant industry.

The highlight of the forum was a presentation by French chef Jean Ashner, a two-Michelin-star recipient. For the first time in Uzbekistan, he introduced his culinary philosophy, shared principles of haute cuisine, service standards, and approaches to sustainable gastronomic development.

The forum program included masterclasses by leading chefs, panel discussions, and roundtables on modern restaurant business trends, the development of local cuisine, and integrating national culinary traditions into international gastronomic projects.

Thematic sessions such as “Gastronomy — a Driving Force for Tourism and Business,” “Franchises in the Gastronomic Industry: Opportunities for Growth,” and “The Future of Taste: Building Next-Generation Gastronomic Projects” brought together experts from Uzbekistan and abroad to discuss prospects for cooperation in gastronomy, investment, and promoting the country as a tourist destination.

“Gastro Forum 2025” served as an important platform for experience exchange and showcasing Uzbekistan’s gastronomic potential on the international stage, contributing to strengthening the country’s image as a hub for cultural and culinary tourism.
