Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 September 2021, an online forum “Cooperation and exchange of experience between leading cities and capitals of the SCO countries under the Smart City program” on the topic “Prospects for the application of digital economy programs and smart technologies in business "Smart city” took place.

The purpose of the forum, initiated by the Republic of Tajikistan, is to familiarize the participants with the possibilities of modern information technologies and their influence on the development of infrastructure in the capitals and big cities of the SCO countries. The forum was attended by members of the delegations of the SCO member states, representatives of state authorities, business circles and experts from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Pakistan and Tajikistan, as well as observer countries and SCO dialogue partners.

From the khokimiyat of Tashkent, employees of the Department of Digital Development took part in the forum. They presented to the participants the developed geoportal of the capital and the Situation Center, which is being prepared for launch.

During the discussion, the participants got acquainted with the achievements of digitalization of large cities of the SCO countries.
