Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Dentists of Uzbekistan should use the most modern international methods to treat their patients. To this end, the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare held online negotiations with a world-class expert, Professor Philip Sleiman, the author of scientific developments and master classes for dentists in Europe, the USA, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates and others.
The constant mastering of the most advanced techniques and the active dissemination of the acquired experience is a hallmark of Philip Slayman. As a professor at the Lebanese University of Beirut, he has experience in a wide variety of countries, notably the United States at the University of North Carolina and St. Joseph, actively conducts mentoring activities in such countries known for their level of medicine as Germany, Great Britain, Canada, is well known in the CIS, especially in Russia.
F. Slayman is an honorary member of the Dental Societies of Bulgaria, Romania, the winner of the Lebanese Dental Association scientific award, is a member of a number of professional Associations in the United States, advises world manufacturers of dental materials and equipment, is the author of patents for a number of techniques in this area.
Involvement of well-known foreign practitioners and mentoring teachers for the continuous improvement of the qualifications of doctors in Uzbekistan is part of the Program of the National Chamber to bring the best international experience into domestic health care. For this purpose, the specialists of the National Chamber are constantly analyzing the best medical practices in different countries of the world, as well as developing partnerships with medical clinics and universities in Uzbekistan.
In particular, negotiations with F. Slayman were organized on the basis of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Chamber and the Tashkent State Dental Institute (TSSI). The meeting was held on 4 January 2021, with the participation of the vice-rector of the TSSI Professor Behzod Yarmukhamedov and the head of the department of the institute, Professor Olga Bekzhanova.
According to TSSI representatives, today in the process of training specialists, as well as improving the skills of practicing dentists, it is necessary to master innovative research, materials, tools that have already shown their effectiveness in different countries of the world. Microsurgery is of great importance in modern endodontics (treatment of dental root canal diseases), for the development of which practical master classes and the direct experience of a teacher-mentor are important.
As noted by F. Slayman, he is ready to provide modern data and methods for various groups of students - from students to practicing dentists. The parties reached an agreement on the preparation and coordination of relevant topics and the organization of lectures and master classes in full-time and part-time formats.
“Improvement and implementation of standards, methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various diseases up to international quality standards is one of the main goals of our partnership, reflected in the joint Memorandum,” said the Chairman of the National Chamber Rovshan Izamov. “The most effective way to do this is through the development of advanced international experience. So we start the New Year with the further development of innovative ideas and approaches. "
At present, the National Chamber is conducting a number of negotiations with well-known representatives of world health care within the framework of its Program to bring the best international experience to the health care of Uzbekistan. The main goal of the Program is to improve medical services for the country’s population.
