International Exhibition Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 Opens in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 19 to 21 June 2025, the first international exhibition of environmental technologies, Eco Expo Central Asia 2025, is taking place at the Central Asian Expo (CAEx) exhibition center in Tashkent.
This large-scale event, unprecedented in the region, has brought together representatives from over 30 countries, establishing itself as a key platform for constructive dialogue, exchange of best practices, and promotion of the green agenda across Central Asia.
The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and is dedicated to the Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy, declared in Uzbekistan on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It highlights Uzbekistan's commitment to accelerating environmental reforms and expanding international cooperation in sustainable development.
Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 serves as a next-generation specialized platform, uniting leading experts, government and international organizations, startups, businesses, and the scientific community. The main themes include climate resilience, resource efficiency, clean technologies, and environmentally sustainable solutions.
The exposition covers a wide range of innovative fields — from artificial intelligence and green energy to water-saving technologies and environmental education. Participants include representatives from France, the Republic of Korea, Tajikistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Italy, Kazakhstan, Austria, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Qatar, China, Croatia, Singapore, the UAE, Belarus, Belgium, India, the UK, Japan, Norway, Hungary, Türkiye, Georgia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Latvia, Palestine, and many other countries, reflecting strong international interest in sustainable development across the region.
Around 3,000 delegates from both international and national organizations are expected to attend, including approximately 40 high-level guests. Among them are former President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nysanbayev, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan Nurmurad Jumashov, CITES Secretary-General Ivonne Higuero, ICBA Director General Tarifa Alzaabi, Chairman of the Board of Sejin G&E Co. (Republic of Korea) Kwon Lee, as well as representatives of the World Bank, ADB, UN, UNDP, FAO, UNESCO, the EU, GIZ, KOICA, GGGI, and other international institutions.
More than 20 international organizations, leading foreign and domestic companies, ministries and agencies, regions of Uzbekistan, the city of Tashkent, and international financial institutions and donor agencies will showcase their own exhibition booths.
The event program features plenary sessions, panel discussions, and thematic sessions on green energy, sustainable cities, ecotourism, digital solutions, and climate finance. In addition, there will be masterclasses, photo exhibitions, cultural events, a startup competition, more than 35 side events, presentations of innovative projects, and the signing of agreements on environmental initiatives.
Special emphasis during the exhibition will be placed on the sustainable development of the Aral Sea region, green construction, and the active involvement of youth in implementing the environmental agenda.
