Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 September 2020, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoev took part in the international online conference "Frontier Investor Days", dedicated to informing about the economic situation, investment climate and opportunities in the markets of developing countries.
The annual event brought together online representatives of over 100 investment companies, as well as experts and analysts from leading banks and hedge funds.
A separate session of the international conference was devoted to the development of capital markets and economic prospects in Uzbekistan. Speaking at it, Sodik Safoev informed the participants about the experience of Uzbekistan in combating the coronavirus and the measures taken in the country to ensure the stability of the economic situation in the context of the pandemic.
The conference participants were informed about economic reforms aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, improving economic legislation and increasing the country's investment attractiveness. It was noted that today Uzbekistan is open for foreign investment and further stimulation of business activity.
Within the framework of the conference, separate sessions were also held on such countries as Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Romania, Slovenia, Ukraine and Croatia.
