Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the President "On measures to create an International Agricultural University" was adopted. 

The university is a fully academically and financially independent higher education institution with state participation, established by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Royal Agricultural University of Great Britain. Education in it is carried out on the basis of a grant and on a paid-contract basis. The Rector of the University is appointed and dismissed by the Minister of Agriculture in agreement with the Supervisory Board. At the same time, the rector of the University is represented by Uzbekistan. Graduates of the University receive a diploma from the partner university (Royal Agricultural University of Great Britain). 

The main activities of the University: 

training of highly qualified, independently thinking, professional personnel based on the principle of "scientifically based, practice-oriented education", which is adapted to reflect the development of the agricultural sector, world trends and experience, combined with national traditions;

conducting scientific research, introducing scientific achievements and innovations into production, developing agricultural technologies and environmental sustainability practices;

development and implementation of new educational programs aimed at retraining and advanced training of agricultural workers, as well as modernizing the educational system;

cooperation with foreign higher educational institutions and organizations, implementation of joint educational programs and projects.

At the University, a Center for retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of agriculture is being created in the form of a state institution financed on a self-supporting basis. In addition, by the end of 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture was instructed to create the Agro Innovation Incubator Center at the University in the form of a state institution, which is engaged in the creation and implementation of start-up projects based on the scientific developments of students, undergraduates and scientific researchers, as well as professors and teachers. financed at the expense of international financial institutions.

The document also approved:

composition of the Supervisory Board of the International Agricultural University;

"Road map" for organizing the activities of the university;

areas of undergraduate education organized from the 2022/2023 academic year at the International Agricultural University.
