Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the participation in the work of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth countries, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.
During the meeting, the sides noted the high rate of development of relations between our countries and stressed the importance of their further deepening, including through inter-parliamentary cooperation.
“Kazakhstan is sincerely glad for the achievements of Uzbekistan and attaches great importance to the further strengthening of brotherly ties between our countries. The two countries are reliable strategic partners and allies. It is important to maintain and promote the high level of cooperation set by the Heads of our states through the Parliaments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan,” said Maulen Ashimbayev.
The ties between the bodies of representative power have been strengthened, the inter-parliamentary dialogue between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan has developed.
- Today we are pleased to note that our multifaceted and productive partnership through the parliamentary dimension is significantly expanding, i.e. relations between the bodies of representative power, - noted Tanzila Narbaeva. - The consistent development of inter-parliamentary dialogue between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will serve to further expand Uzbek-Kazakh relations and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in general.
Issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture and interaction within the framework of the Women’s Dialogue platform were discussed.
The parties also agreed to hold the next meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission and update the approved "Roadmap" for interparliamentary cooperation with the inclusion of relevant directions and measures for the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level.
