Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Termez Institute of Agrotechnology and Innovative Development was established on the basis of the Termez branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University by Presidential resolution.
The Institute trains personnel with modern knowledge in the following areas:
- specialization of regions in connection with soil and climatic conditions;
- organization of production of export-oriented and profitable agricultural crops;
- introduction of innovative resource-saving technologies and digital agricultural technologies in agriculture.
From the 2021/2022 academic year, the Institute will gradually introduce a credit-modular training system in the areas of bachelor’s degree. At the same time, Saturday for students is defined as the day of independent development.
By the end of 2022, an IT-incubator research and innovation center will be created at the Institute, which will be engaged in the creation and implementation of project startups based on the scientific developments of students, masters and researchers, as well as young professors and teachers.
On the land plots belonging to the Institute, demonstration fields will be created for the breeding of high-yielding varieties of pomegranate, persimmon, lemon, black plum, grapes and other fruit and berry crops, which will yield a crop 2-3 times a year.
According to the adopted Resolution, the Institute provides for the organization of evening (shift) admission in the areas of undergraduate education, and from 2022 - the organization of admission to postgraduate education (doctoral studies) in agricultural specialties.
Students of the Termez branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University are transferred to the relevant areas and specialties of the Institute, starting from the 2021/2022 academic year, graduate students are issued with a diploma of the Institute.
The activities of the Institute are coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture.
