INNOPROM. Central Asia - results of a successful exhibition

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The successful debut of last year’s INNOPROM. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan showed that we need to expand! The event changed its name and set a development goal: from an exhibition of Russian-Uzbek cooperation to become a key event in Central Asia, where all countries of the region and those interested in working with them will be able to strengthen commercial and industrial cooperation.

Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia” achieved this goal: Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus and Tajikistan made national expositions, and Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan sent representative delegations. 9 Russian and 14 Uzbek regions were represented with their own stands.

In total, more than 700 companies and business delegations took part in the exhibition and business program, including such leaders of the Russian and Uzbek industries as State Corporation Rostec, Uzavtosanoat, State Corporation Rosatom, Uzkimyosanoat, USM Holdings, Uzeltekhsanoat , KAMAZ and others. Over 10,000 visitors visited INNOPROM in Tashkent in three days, and a third of the exhibitors have already confirmed their interest in participating in the exhibition next year.

“Over the past year, Russia’s trade with the countries of the EAEU, BRICS, SCO and APEC has grown in the range from 34 to 38%. This suggests that growth points are being formed in this direction. If we take the mentioned associations, this is half of the entire world economy,” said Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

“The countries of Central Asia have great potential for building up trade and economic relations. Today’s realities require us to take decisive steps to form a new model of economic cooperation in Central Asia. Our economic partnership can be much larger and develop on the basis of complementarity and effective cooperation,” said Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

“For the second year in a row, our wildest expectations have been met. INNOPROM is a platform where business really works. Industrial companies find new customers and make deals for the supply of equipment, meet the right people and successfully solve complex issues in real time at their stands,” concluded Anton Atrashkin, INNOPROM Program Director.
