Inha University in Tashkent launches online application for prospective students
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) has started to accept online applications of prospective students for 2017-2018 academic year from April 17, 2017.

Following the same procedure as in previous years, registration for admission to undergraduate courses for the 2017-2018 academic year is fully conducted online.

Prospective students, who want to apply to IUT, should fill in the online registration form on the website of the university, https://admissions.iut.uz.

Applicants should fill in their information with their personal background, their secondary school/lyceum or college, their department of choice, and their official test score on English language proficiency. Additionally, prospective students should upload and submit the following scanned versions of documents: passport, diploma from lyceum and college, medical certificate and IELTS or TOELF certificate.

If the applicants have not yet received their diploma from their secondary school/college or lyceum, they should provide the certificate from their educational institutions with the expected graduation timeframe. If the prospective students do not possess any IELTS or TOEFL IBT certificates, they should provide a receipt from their registration of IELTS or TOEFL IBT certificates.

Online registration of prospective students will end at 17:00 on July 10, 2017.

English proficiency requirements to the prospective students are the same as previous years: certificate of IELTS or TOEFL iBT with the minimum required score or higher should be provided.

Those prospective students, who do not have any certificates, can participate in closed IELTS exam session, which is scheduled for June 8, 2017 at the British Council. Prospective students should register for the exam by May 12, 2017 at the IUT campus.

Alternatively, prospective students can take TOEFL iBT® exams. The applicants can register to TOEFL iBT exams, which will be held on May 6 and June 3, 2017 within the premises of the Inha University in Tashkent building.

Only those prospective students, who submitted IELTS or TOELF iBT certificates with the required minimum or higher score, can participate in the IUT Entrance exams of math and physics for the School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) and math for the School of Logistics (SOL).

Applicants who applied for SOCIE must have IELTS 5.0 or above or TOEFL iBT 50 or above, and applicants who applied for SOL must have IELTS 6.0 or above or TOEFL iBT 75 or above.

During the entrance exams, the prospective students will answer 20 questions on each subject in written form. The exam will last 60 minutes. The exam questions are formed on standard curriculum for secondary education.

Total score for SOCIE is calculated by the sum of 60% of mathematics and 40% of physics scores. Results of the entrance exams will be announced on August 12, 2017.

In order to organize the admission campaign efficiently, IUT will organize various meetings and promotional events in the regions of Uzbekistan for graduates of academic lyceums and professional colleges to familiarize them with admission requirements.

In May, IUT plans to organize a video-conference. Graduates of academic lyceums and colleges, as well as their parents will receive information about the application process, exams and requirements for the prospective students during the video-conference. They will also have the chance to talk with the members of IUT Admission Commission face-to-face.

IUT is provisionally planning to accept 300 students to the School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) and 100 students to the School of Logistics (SOL) in 2017-2018 academic year.
