Information of the Minister of Internal Affairs on the state of prevention and prevention of offenses was discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 19 March, as part of the twenty-fourth plenary session of the Senate, information was heard from the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the state of prevention and prevention of offenses in 2021.

It was noted that thanks to the systematic work carried out, 89% of crimes were solved, 4,615 wanted persons were detained, 507 missing persons were found.

The crime situation in 9,314 mahallas was analyzed, and the districts were classified as "red", "yellow" and "green".

As a result of the measures taken in 2021, no crimes were committed in 2,639 mahallas (28.3%), and in 3,628 mahallas (39%), the cases of their commission decreased.

1,018 crimes committed by 1,313 persons in the field of economy, administration and justice were identified, and the recovery of the damage caused by them in the amount of 86.1 billion soums was ensured.

At the same time, the conducted studies show that there are issues in the activities of the internal affairs bodies that should be paid attention to.

In particular, the total number of crimes committed in 2021 was 84,100, with an average of 321.4 per 100,000 population.

Particularly grave crimes are committed due to untimely resolution of family problems and conflicts, as well as their ignoring by mahalla activists and the general public.

So, in 2021, every third or 158 (37.1%) crimes related to murder and 190 (14.4%) crimes related to grievous bodily harm were committed due to family problems.

At the same time, 14,935 offenses were committed due to untimely elimination of family conflicts. Of these, almost 60% (8,589) are in the city of Tashkent, Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand and Ferghana regions.

Due to the fact that the problems of women living in difficult life situations have not been completely resolved, in 2021, 9,759 women committed 9,053 crimes.

39,343 women subjected to family harassment were issued protection orders.

Work aimed at the effective use of the possibilities of the “attendance measures” established in schools, work to call the population to vigilance was not carried out on a regular basis.

In some regions, the number of crimes committed by minors remains high. In particular, 65.2% of these crimes occur in Ferghana, Tashkent, Namangan and Bukhara regions.

In addition, over 14,000 unemployed people have committed crimes, which testifies to the ineffective solution of local employment issues.

At the meeting, the senators also paid attention to the issues of forming an intolerant attitude towards crime among the population, preventing crime, ensuring the protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens.

In particular, measures will be taken to identify and eliminate the causes and factors of such cases by conducting, together with the responsible ministries, departments and public organizations, a continuous analysis of offenses committed among women, minors, youth, especially unemployed youth.

A corresponding resolution of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis was adopted on this issue.
