Industrial Gas Flow Recorded at Muynak Field in Karakalpakstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the Muynak gas condensate field in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Well No. 11 has produced an industrial flow of high-pressure natural gas. Operations at the site were completed at a depth of 4,700 meters, Uzbekneftegaz said in a statement.

According to the company, the high-pressure gas inflow was recorded in productive layers at depths of 4,542–4,549 meters and 4,551–4,558 meters during testing conducted on January 23, 2026.

Currently, the well is being equipped with surface facilities, after which the extracted gas will begin to be supplied to consumers.

Previously, an industrial flow of natural gas was obtained at Exploration Well No. 2 “Shagirdlik – Lower Jurassic,” located near the Muynak field.
