Industrial exhibition and business mission "Made in Uzbekistan" opens in Baku

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 December, the capital of Azerbaijan hosted the official opening of the national industrial exhibition and business mission "Made in Uzbekistan", organized by the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT) of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of our country, Dunyo news agency reported.

The event was attended by a number of officials from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, representatives of Uzbek manufacturing companies and industry structures, presenting samples of their products at the exhibition, and Azerbaijani business circles.

The exhibition was opened by Ulugbek Muratov, Director of the Export Promotion Agency under the MIFT, Adviser to the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Masim Mammadov, Head of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev.

In his opening speech, Masim Mammadov noted that the "Made in Uzbekistan" exposition covers different areas. It presents agricultural products, textiles, building materials, electrical engineering and other products.

- At these exhibitions we mutually present our goods both in Uzbekistan and in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan always supports such events aimed at strengthening economic relations. It also allows us to create new jobs, expands cooperation between private companies and helps to find new sectors for cooperation, he said.

The head of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev expressed the opinion that further development of trade and economic relations is very important for Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, taking into account the close and trusting dialogue at the highest level, as well as the strategic nature of interstate relations.

It should be noted that about 80 Uzbek companies-manufacturers of textile, leather and footwear, silk, food, chemical, electrical, pharmaceutical, construction, furniture and engineering industry.

Its main goal is to promote national products, to establish ties between representatives of the Uzbek and Azerbaijani business circles, to promote an increase in the volume of trade turnover between countries, to widely familiarize visitors with the production potential of Uzbekistan, to create additional opportunities for the development of cooperative ties to organize new import-substituting industries with high added value. with the prospect of subsequent export of products to the markets of third countries, as well as the provision of a range of specialized services to Uzbek exporters to promote their products and services to the Azerbaijani market by concluding firm export contracts.
